Another IRS Scam. Beware of these low life, lazy whatever they are, so they don't get any of your personal information. I dare them to call our local police, they will eat them alive!!! My father was in Law Enforcement.

Hi Kelli - They will have a lot of details about you - certainly your full and legal name as well as any others you may have had, a possible address or former address, accounts you may have or had in the past, family members names and phone numbers, etc. You can get all that by paying for a cheap report on yourself these days. Also contacted a family member of mine. They call from an unlisted number, and give an 855 number to contact and a case number beginning with 2018-***XX. Fun fact - you can look up the case number in the local county clerk's website. You can also look yourself up by name and see if there are any filings aginst you. You will find there are none. There are a number of scams out there like this using the same scare tactics - they may also contact your family or work to try to get them to pay on your behalf or scare you into paying. You might want to alert them. A helpful article: http://www.dadslifeblog.com/alert-scam/%20 You can find a number of these articles online - they will probably all sound familiar. Also, has anyone noticed that searches for this 855 number keep rising, but only over the last 2 days? Also a big red flag I feel. Did this number not exist until yesterday, and why are so may people searching for it? Because Scam.
